Kiesett Collier Newton is a former Staff Scientist for the Federal Government turned realtor. She is a licensed real estate agent in the DMV area and founder of The Collier Group, who brings a unique insight to her work by bridging the gap between two worlds; science and real estate. Kiesett has buying and selling real estate down to a science. She brings a unique perspective and approach from her prior training as a scientist. Her experience as a scientist has been serendipitous, allowing her to provide outstanding service to her clients for over a decade. Many years of training have qualified Kiesett to systematically manage the critical details of the real estate sell and purchase process to produce consistent results for her clients. She got involved in real estate while attempting to purchase her first home in grad school, and now Kiesett uses life experiences to help guide citizens to their new homes.Kiesett studied at the University of Maryland in College Park and Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. In her spare time, she loves to cook, travel and exercise. Because she is a foodie, Kiesett admittedly has a love hate relationship with exercise. She has competed in a few marathons and 20-mile races, and plans to continue these activities to stay active and healthy. Kiesett devotes her time to causes regarding homelessness, housing education, cancer research, youth mentoring and tutoring. The volunteer work she does with several housing nonprofits involves providing seminars regarding real estate purchasing and investments. As an active member in her church, Kiesett incorporates her faith in every aspect of her life. She uses that as a source of guidance and humility.Kiesett expresses to her team to think big because mediocrity is never encouraged, and growth is essential.
