We started out 2013 with a pure idea that we had developed jointly with a few customers on paper and very limited budget and resources. When I pitched it to Kijoon, he was immediately excited about the ability of our work to demonstrate through leadership in IoT and how IoT would help real time process automation on a large scale on HANA. Kijoon worked tirelessly to get stakeholders excited and the concept into major tradeshows and on stage in keynotes. Kijoon got us in front of the right people and helped secure funding for Mobile World Congress was such a success that we needed to build more machines. Kijoon again stepped out of his way to get this funded. Today there is a fleet of machines and showcases around the globe in every major SAP Location, used daily to demonstrate SAP IoT vision and reality. None of this would have happened without Kijoons initiative, support and trust to take more or less unproven idea and turn it into reality. I was always impressed by Kijoons professionalism and agility to work around the red tape to make things happen. He supported us with developing marketing plans, securing marketing budget as well what became a sizeable logistics operation to get the 700 LB machines to the right locations in time.
