About Juan Kikushima

I am passionate about learning, improvement, and technology. As an engineering physics student, I learned to love the relationship between science and my everyday reality and to apply the scientific method to solve complex problems: from cooking and coding to budgeting and image processing. My experience in medical physics allowed me to develop as an engineer, and I consider my master's degree an excellent exercise in research. I have improved my social skills and acquired significant knowledge in business and sales strategies while working in the health industry, managing the largest clients in the private healthcare sector. I had the chance to engage with a new generation of engineers while teaching physics and math at the university level. I realized I could demand more from my students as I improved as a teacher, and I always aimed to give the kind of lecture I dreamt of having while I was a student. As an academic coordinator for three different engineering majors, I had the opportunity to work hand in hand with all the different areas in the institution. I was in charge of organizing a wide range of activities for my students, and for academic institutions and partners from the industry, especially overseas.I enjoy working in multidisciplinary environments, as I consider myself having a multidisciplinary and multicultural background coupled with an outgoing personality that allows me to quickly adapt and deliver. I am looking forward to diversifying my professional development, I have learned how to use my passion for technology to organize and improve both my personal and professional life. I love teaching as much as I love to keep learning, through online courses or undertaking personal projects, and I am always ready and eager for a new challenge.
