Paramedic; Special Operations Section HazMat Captain; Academy Coordinator•Developed training standards, course objectives, and administered the HazMat Response Program for Austin EMS, and was a contract instructor for the Texas Department of Health working on a FEMA grant to teach HazMat to fire departments across the State.•Planned and evaluated two county-wide disaster drills dealing with a HazMat release and a terrorist event as a member of the disaster planning committee for the Interagency Disaster Council. One drill included over 140 victims, six local hospitals, FBI, ATF, Texas Department of Public Safety, The University of Texas, and local emergency response personnel. •Developed training for the City of Austin Mass Casualty Incident and Disaster Plan.
