Peter Kiley brings extensive experience and leadership to his role as Vice President of Affiliate Relations and Communications at C-SPAN, where he plays a central role in shaping the network's strategies and fostering external relationships with an eye on generating revenue for the nonprofit media organization.Peter directs C-SPAN's engagement with all distribution partners. He drives strategy for new digital products, the introduction of advertising on digital platforms, licensing, and the exploration of innovative revenue opportunities, including small donor development. His stewardship extends to shaping C-SPAN's communication policies and outreach initiatives, including traditional public relations campaigns targeting national and local media outlets, ensuring C-SPAN's message resonates with both the media and the public.Peter oversees a digital media group that programs C-SPAN.org, a mobile app C-SPAN Now, and a new connected-TV app, C-SPAN Select. He leads C-SPAN's efforts to expand its presence and engagement across social platforms, amplifying the network's impact and reach.Peter is a respected figure in the cable industry, with a distinguished track record of service on various boards and industry-related committees. He’s honored as a Cable TV Pioneer, been included in Cablefax's "Top 100 Power Players,” and in 2004 was named their “Nicest Guy in Cable.”Prior to C-SPAN, Peter served as congressional aide, grounding his career in a deep understanding of political dynamics. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of San Diego, where he received the Author E. Hughes Career Achievement Award in 2014 and delivered the College of Arts and Sciences Commencement Address in 2017. In addition, he is a graduate of the Cable Executive Management program at Harvard Business School.Residing in the suburbs of Washington, DC, Peter remains dedicated to advancing the mission of C-SPAN.
