IFREMER first exposed me to the idea of the utilisation of artificial intelligence, more specific deep learning, as a conservation tool and allowed me to gain much needed and extremely valuable knowledge in the field. By working on two projects, I was able to learn different methods of video footage gathering and exploration. Visits of boats and a fish auction led to a deeper understanding of the importance of fieldwork. Working for UMB allowed me to further my teamwork capabilities by working in a large team at the ServiceDesk. I was exposed to a wide variety of systems, customers and situations which helped me to adapt to new environments fast and efficient.

After the successful finish of my apprenticeship, I was able to work full-time for three months to bridge over the time until I had to join the obligatory "Swiss Army" service. I was able to show the skills and knowledge that I obtained during the training and helped to launch a beamer project for the school.
