As part of the store development team, I was in charge of managing new openings and restylings (flagships, retail, franchises, department stores, corners, travel retail…), as well as developing new concept stores for the brand. Doing site surveys, 3D renders, drawing technical plans, meeting up with country managers, solving technical details, placing new orders for the projects (furniture and materials), working side by side with the construction project managers to clear up all the doubts, supervising installations and collaborating with the marketing department, were some of my tasks.Besides this, I was also the materials manager of the team. This means that I was currently in touch with the purchasing team (procurement & optimization) and had to research potential vendors and negotiate prices, do forecasts for new orders (flooring, logos, mannequins, lighting…), ensure the stock of all the elements, keep updated all the Excel order forms with new approved references, make sure we had all the material’s certificates needed, asked for new material samples and ensure the quality of these, meet new suppliers in our HQ or in their particular show rooms, etc.

I managed projects from A to Z (from small gondolas to shop in shops), spoke with suppliers from all over the world, exchanged sample materials and opinions of how to solve technical details, supervised installations of the most important projects in my charge, did public presentations of my works and competitor analysis (in both French and English), did constant brainstormings with our team in order to get new and creative ideas, negotiated costs with the suppliers to be aligned or under budget, had meetings with our suppliers to do overall evaluations of the year, solved last minute problems during installations, etc.Besides this, occasionally I also helped out in the merchandising and marketing team bringing new ideas, giving opinion in the packaging design for new products, designing PLV elements, showcases and windows, and bringing new catchy slogans for promoting our best sellers and new launches.
