The designs covered development of high power and high reliability hardware and involved extensive testing, prototyping and analysis. Designed and implemented accelerated lifetime tests for the AGVs motors and actuators.Developed an electromechanical “Light Pointer” device for precise illumination of target locations for manual picking and placing of warehouse inventory. This involved PCB design, high power LED and optics design, embedded firmware with TI TM4C ARM processors, power-over-ethernet (POE) DC/DC converters, Ethernet communications and stepper motor drivers.Tested and optimised WiFi communications for reliable data connections to the AGVs. This included writing custom software for monitoring and logging of Wifi statistics and performance.Worked closely with a small, multi-disciplinary team of software, mechanical and electronic engineers in developing these novel robotic solutions. -
