As a Chemical Engineer, I was lucky to born in an Oil country and became a Process Engineer in one of the biggest Refinery in the world. Having spent about 80% of my career supporting Utilities gives me the customer service skills and the ability to gain trust and communicate across the organization. My experience includes Refinery & Upgrader Processes and Engineering Firms, including Utilities, COGEN Water Treatment and Carbon Capture. My secret sauce is my Operations and EPC (Engineering Contractor Procurement) experiences. This allows me to create tools to optimize the process. Working and living in three different countries (Venezuela, United Kingdom and Canada) has given me the abroad approach to problem solving effectively. Achievements include:• Value contribution to the development of the Low Sulphur Diesel Project with a potential return of $18M+/yr• Negotiating Water Chemical Treatment vendor agreements that save $600,000/yr• Designing a troubleshooting flowchart to early identify source of contamination of steam avoiding a Steam Turbo Generator shutdown with penalties of $25,000/day• Supporting an Expansion Project (100 KBD) start up by issuing more than 130 MOCs (Management of Change)• Designing an user-friendly tool to select the chemical treatment by screening 3 companies in a transparent way.Outside of work, I'm a Herbalife Nutrition Independent Distributor helping people to make healthy choices. I'm passionate about Baseball, travel and mother nature; I completed an expedition to the Roraima Tepuy in Venezuela (9,094 feet), one of the most amazing places in the world.
