I'm a geneticist and gene therapy expert with over a decade of experience in the space. My work focuses on taking AAV and evolving it to the next level through directed evolution.I'm currently the co-founder and CEO of a stealth biotech startup looking at AAV. Watch this space!Previous work:I've spent three years in the UK working as a scientific consultant, helping companies and academic labs drive AAV gene therapies to the next level, as well as developing and running a number of bioinformatics projects. My postdoctoral research in Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital focused on the creation of novel AAV variants targeting a range of tissue types, with a focus on the brain and inner ear. This led to the development of a number of new capsids and treatment approaches, work which continues to this day.
