Lead and small group facilitator for values-based leadership programs, working with college men and women. Worked with groups ranging from seven to 120+ with pre-made programs as well as self-designed curricula. Facilitated CFRE-accredited AFP training sessions.

Responsibilities included planning and execution of international conventions, an undergraduate leadership college and a presidents’ academy. I have planned two international conventions with more than 500 attendees each (2004 in Washington, D.C., 2006 in Cleveland, OH) and created values-based leadership curriculum for a new leadership college format in Iowa City, IA (for which I was also the lead facilitator) and two presidents’ academy in St. Meinrad, IN (2006 and 2007). I created a new stand-alone website for the 2006 International Convention as well as direct mail pieces and materials to drive attendance to an all-time record in 2006, all while taking a five-digit convention budget loss in 2002 to a five-digit surplus in 2004 and twice the surplus in 2006.

As Director of Chapter Services, I: traveled across North America; recruited, hired, trained, and managed a six-person traveling Leadership Consultant staff; developed and updated online and paper resources, press releases, awards programs, print advertising, presentations, information kits, etc.; designed, scheduled and booked ad placements for expansion projects in more than 20 college markets; revised, improved and created new training manuals for this and other various leadership positions on the undergraduate and support adviser level; maintained current and created new content and features for Delta Chi’s corporate website; began new project to change over from an attached PDF newsletter to distributing an HTML-based e-mail newsletter (grew distribution list from 422 subscribers to more than 9,000) linked to resources and Delta Chi’s website; developed a new corporate logo with support materials.

Provided hands-on leadership & guidance for university/college chapters in vital areas of business operations, including financial management, budgeting, recruitment, membership education, parliamentary procedure, alumni and parent relations, risk management and avoidance, event planning and public/university relations. Team member on William & Mary, Georgia Southern, Michigan, and Southern Illinois chapter “start-up” projects, working in all areas of marketing, public relations, recruitment, alumni development, and university relations. Traveled more than 40,000 miles by automobile, while consulting with more than 30 chapters and participating in professional/educational conferences in more than 10 states and Canada.
