Working with new arriving refugees. Helping them with the resettling matters. Connecting them to the community and orienting them to the United States basic policies and cultures. Most importantly, I am also in charge of LSS Intensive Case Managements. As an ICM personnel, I work with cases that need more care, such as medical care, job need, and mental health cases. ICM cases are cases that LSS as the resettlement agency monitor closely even after the refugee regular case has been past it's normal 90 days since arrival. It is very exciting to work with people from all over the world. Believe me, there is no happiness than knowing that you are making changes in other peoples lives everyday, especially the people that you don't even know or never even thought that you would even meet them anywhere.

Voice In the Wilderness Organization (VWO), is a nonprofit organization based in Minnesota, to assist with a more smooth culturally integration of Congolese refugees as they replant their lives here in U.S. We provide basic services such as facilitating with languages (interpretation), education, etc. Referring those who have been traumatized by war to the right counseling clinics or offices that will not interfere with their cultural and religious beliefs as we work hand-in-hand with major resettlement agencies in the Twin Cities.
