About Kim Olson

After a very successful career in healthcare and given my passion about women’s leadership, I launched Red Door Advisors, a coaching firm. The significance of Red Doors Advisors to me is that it combines the bold, vibrant, full of energy symbol of the color red with a “door” that is open to possibilities—a wonderful illustration and reflection of my own energy and passion for coaching established, corporate leaders and helping them achieve their potential. I help talented individuals bring their authentic selves to their work so they can confidently navigate today’s leadership challenges, inspire leadership and find fulfillment across their career continuum—from now to purposeful retirement and beyond. In my career, I served as a trusted advisor and sought out mentor and was known as a women’s leadership advocate—all of these roles provided a wonderful and rich foundation for my coaching practice. I also bring relevant perspectives and insights to draw upon as a coach given the breath of my experience and success as a leader and executive at Fortune 200 companies. The women with whom I’ve worked became more resilient, impactful and greater contributors to the culture and goals of their organization. And most importantly, they pursued what they wanted—their vision, their path, their goals.As a Strategy and Execution leader, I converted complex, high financial risk situations into organized, highly effective, results oriented organizations. My long-term strategic partnerships with senior leadership teams earned their trust and fostered business expansion and growth. I was an organizational change agent at the C-Level. Catamaran then was acquired by OptumRx. • As the Vice President, Business Operations, Health Plan and PBM Segment, Optum Rx (2015-2016) I resolved operational issues for the market segment covering 20+ M in Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial and Health Exchange lives. • As the Vice President, Business Operations, MCO Segment at CatmaranRx (2012-2015) I led the integration, management and performance of complex, highly visible acquisitions and large managed care client contracts and relationships. I served as a key member of Catamaran’s contract negotiating team and directed the multi-year transition of Cigna’s pharmacy business, the organization’s largest win in 2013. I successfully executed a number of transitions for this client including the transition of over 2+M Medicare lives, the organization’s most complex transition. • As the Chief Operating Officer, FutureScripts (“FS”) at CatalystRx, (2010-2021) I developed the strategy and executed the transition of FS to Catalyst as well as established FS as a separate division within Catalyst. I had full p/l accountability and surpassed all financial and operational goals within a few months post transition. FS was Catalyst’s first acquisition of this size and complexity.
