I started my medical career here in hospital billing. I did not know what to expect, but I was happy to realize that I truly enjoy solving the problems associated with billing and coding of medical claims. I did not know what to expect, but I was happy to realize that I truly enjoy solving the problems associated with billing and coding of medical claims. It was challenging and fun corresponding with patients, providers and medical insurance payors to resolve claim disputes. It was very demanding to work here. I had to resolve many unsettled medical bills, reimbursements, billing discrepancies and COB issues within a day. Nevertheless, I am proud of myself to have taken on a new career with no experience and achieved high productivity daily. There is a lot of reading and interpreting of EOBs. Therefore, there was constant editing and correcting of UB-04 forms for the client. Daily, I had to research and give a detailed explanation regarding patient diagnoses and procedures to the insurance companies. This called for me to submit reconsiderations and medical records to payors. I had to identify and correct medical coding mistakes, patient demographics mistakes and typing errors. My co-workers at Med-Metrix were wonderful. My team and I worked hard at resolving hundreds of aged claims and successfully got most of them paid. Show less

I teach children on a one-on-one basis. My students range between ages 4 and 17 years old. I review classroom, curricula topics and assignments. I organized lessons, tutoring sessions and the children's outdoor activities. I communicated with the toddlers' parents about their children's daily activities and decorum. I had to collaborate with the owner of the daycare and teachers, so as to improve lessons whenever necessary. I came up with the children's meal plans each week and I ensured nap schedules were implemented. I would regularly adjust indoor and outdoor activities whenever I noticed the need to do so. I maintained very high morale among the staff by conducting weekly quality and assurance sessions with each staff member. I ensured the products were the right quantity for the week and of high quality. I made sure that the restaurant was always clean, neat and organized. My collaboration and coordination with the general manager was key in ensuring the restaurant ran smoothly. We did a lot of brainstorming when conducting performance evaluations.
