As COO and member of the board of directors at Palsgaard I am responsible for global operations with +300 colleagues at six production sites at four continents. To support the growth strategy I head CAPEX for +130 million euro in Europe and Malaysia. Palsgaard is a global food ingredients manufacturer focused on developing and supplying emulsifiers & stabilizers. Within food we work with bakery, confectionery, dairy, mayonnaise, ice cream and margarine applications, helping manufacturers to reduce fat, ensure leaner labels, strengthen structure and stability, improve softness, stretch shelf-life, balance moisture content, and to control spreadability, viscosity, mouth-feel and texture. Within polymers we develop and produce sustainable polymer additives that are 100% vegetable-based and food contact approved.

Responsible for all aspects of the production plant in Frederikssund, Denmark. The plant delivers substrates and catalysts to the heavy-duty diesel truck segment with internal and external customers in Europe, Latin America and Asia. Globally responsibility for the development of the corrugation production technology currently used in China, Denmark, Brazil and USA.

Responsible for the global automotive production and supply chain. Haldor Topsoe’s automotive business is an important part of the company’s growth strategy, and summer 2016 we will start up a new production plant to a total of three. The three plants will supply SCR and ASC catalyst for diesel engines in EURO 4 to 6 standard. Future productions will further provide a DOC and cDPF, which will make Haldor Topsoe able to supply products for a complete EURO 6 system.

Responsible for the production of SCR catalyst for diesel engines in standard Euro 4, 5 and 6 like applications and ammonia slip catalysts (ASC).The production is operated approximately 345 days a year. The department consists of 30 academics, managers and technicians and 60 process operators. In cooperation with our partners I focus on strategically development of the business unit. This spands from new products to new Production capacity in China and Brazil.

Responsibility of production and quality of prereformer and shift catalysts.

Responsibility of production of reformer catalysts. Budget responsibility for the operation of the department. The production is continuous and is operated approximately 300 days a year. The department consists of 10 academics and technicians, 22 process operators and 5 smiths. I have in cooperation with the department and our partners within R&D and Plant Engineering achieved to improve our KPI for quality and cost significantly. Beside operation of the department I focus on strategically development within the business unit.

Expansion of value stream with new phase 3 product

Manager of a value stream with responsibility of production and quality. Focus on flow in the value stream from the customer to the supplier. Results:Significant reduction in lead time and therefore less stock.

Head of a production section, producing Active Pharmaceutical Ingredience under cGMP. Having a staff of 2 team leaders, 6 technicians and 40 operators. Responsibel of fullfilling the production plan at the right time and with the right quality without any health and safety risks.
