Thrivent Charitable Impact & Investing is the giving arm/community foundation of Thrivent Financial, supporting the generosity of donors and organizations through donor advised funds and endowments, and grantmaking to spread joy and change lives.In my role as Vice President of Operations & Impact, I led grantmaking ($75M annually), operations, investment op's and technology projects. I executed growth/operational innovation across the areas of generosity, client-centered experience and social investments. In my role as Vice President of Grants & Donor Services, I was responsible for leading Thrivent Charitable's core business strategies of donor stewardship and engagement and overseeing the Foundation's grantmaking portfolio of $60+ million annually. I led the grants and donor services team, and managed relationships with Thrivent's professional advisors, external partners, and served as a member of the leadership team to provide overall strategic direction and organizational development for Thrivent Charitable.

In my tenure, the Foundation doubled grantmaking, increased received grants by 200%, and changed legislation, building statewide housing and services for sexually exploited children.

Consulted for Kellogg Foundation’s Youth Innovation Fund, a national multisectoral initiative. Coached local directors in program development, project management, community problem solving, and evaluation processes for Kellogg Foundation initiative. Led national cross-site convenings and trainings. Strategized program expansion and fund development efforts.
