As President and Managing Director of CISC, I conduct security audits and threat risk assessments for Corporate clients as well as performing case reviews and expert opinions for lawyers in relation to criminal and civil cases. I also develop Standard Operational Procedures and deliver training to security providers and private sector clients in the areas of emergency management and incident management and other related matters.

As Director of Campus Safety, I coordinated the daily operation of the Office of Campus Safety, which included the offices of Public Safety, Security and Emergency Management, Risk Management and Insurance, and Student Rights & Responsibilities, reporting directly to the Vice President of Human Relations.

Manage and accountable for the operations of Public Safety, Security and Emergency Management at all campus site across the region on a daily basis. Provided oversight of live events at all campus locations. Responsible for the safety and security of over 20,000 people daily. Management and oversight of a 1 million dollar operating budget. Development and delivery of training to site security staff and campus Emergency Management Response Team. Conduct table top exercises with the campus Emergency Management Response Team (EMRT). Worked within a Unified Command for live events with Durham’s Durham Emergency Management Office (DEMO). Participate with Durham’s EMO for the escalation of potential threats of drills and live events.

Coordinated all aspects for the planning of seminars for fire fighters, police officers, crown attorneys and insurance investigators. Further responsible for facilitating subject matter experts for training topics in the seminars. Reported all Task Force activities to the Chief, Toronto Fire Service.

Responsible for the development, delivery and subject matter expert training of fire fighters, police officers, insurance investigators and Crown Attorney’s in relation to fire investigations in the areas of crime scene management, origin and cause of fires and other related topics.

Responsible for the development and delivery of training in relation to death investigations, major case management, process of investigations and crime scene management to New York State law enforcement officers.

As a Detective in Homicide Squad, I performed the duties of a Major Case Manager and lead investigator. My assignments included the investigation of homicides, suspicious deaths, suicides and the deaths of person’s in-custody at the time of their death. I was also responsible for the development and delivery of training and education of Police Officers related to death investigations, crime scene management, first officer response to a major crime scene and note taking.

As a Major Case Manager and lead investigator, I was responsible for all criminal investigations, specializing in Domestic Assaults, Sexual Assaults, Child Abuse, Weapons offences, Death Investigations and Arson.
