Kim currently offers services in forestry, wildfire prevention, renewable energy including bioenergy, water, workforce development, fund-raising, local economic development, facilitation, consensus building, and meeting/event planning. Kim was the California Director for the National Forest Foundation raising over $18 million in one year to fund forest restoration projects on U.S. Forest Service lands. She worked as the Assistant Deputy Director for Climate and Energy with the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CALFIRE) focusing on climate policy and wood biomass market development. She reviewed legislation and provided technical assistance with bill drafting. Prior to this, she led the Southern Sierra team for the Sierra Nevada Conservancy engaging communities in sustainable forest management. She has worked for the U.S. EPA in Washington D.C. focused on recycling market development and also in the private sector offering a variety of environmental consulting services. She has a graduate degree in Natural Resource Planning and a Bachelor of Business Administration. Kim lives in South Lake Tahoe with her husband John and daughter Rosie. She enjoys outdoor recreation and instructing yoga at Yoga Om studio.
