Supports a leading-edge sales organization in the marine retail industry. Main responsibility is to be the unique liaison between some of the industry’s leading manufacturers and the largest marine retailer in the nation as their supply chain expert. Key responsibilities include:• Vendor Supply Chain management and interface for:• Fill Rate• Retail Ad Support• Coordinate and interface with vendors and the retailer for weekly/monthly collaborative calls. • Evaluate and resolve logistics and transportation both domestic and imported product• Inventory evaluation (health) including life cycle planning and product transition• Conduct product sales and assortment analysis• Assist in analyzing inventory and sales expectations for key promotions• Analyze metrics and work to improve on-time initial fill rates of inbound purchase orders• Handles all sales reporting and AP• Manages all sales dollars into the company.

Main responsibility is to support the company’s strategic initiative to grow direct imports. This includes product development, sales analysis, cost negotiations, production, on-time shipments and over-all execution for the Wall Décor department.

Provided proactive support by working with Michaels’ Vendor Community and Michaels’ internal departments to create Supply Chain efficiency. Acted as a conduit between all functional areas within Michaels’ corporate and vendor community to proactively train associates on Michaels’ processes, procedures and prevent issues. Pursue Supply Chain Improvement Opportunities which requires research, development of recommendations, monitor progress and measurable results for projects that improve supply chain effectiveness. One sample of a win in Supply Chain Improvements is worked with a team on the IP reduction where we have saved $1.5 million inventory savings.

Responsible for moving all of Michaels vendor freight for the North East and South East areas of Northern America. Handled truck backhauls for Michaels Store deliveries on our Dedicated Fleet saving the company over $500,000.00 in the first 6 month of 2008. Also acts as Liaison between Freight payable/Audit, OSD and Transportation. Worked directly with vendors as well as other internal customers.Uses 'out of the box' solutions to save Michaels Transportation cost. Some days saving anywhere between $20,000.00-$44,000.00 by finding options for moving freight and still getting it delivered within the delivery window to Michaels 11 DC's. Responsible for negotiating freight rates and analyzing best procedure policies. Includes experience with i2 Freight Matrix and ACCESS.

Handled all OSD and transportation of product to our customers all of the United States. This includeded LTL, truckloads, ocean shipping and rail, which also included negotiation of rates for all carriers. Was also responsible for handling all freight rating and ensuring that all freight carriers and brokers alike where paid within 30 days. Maintained OSD (Overage, Shortages and Damages) and the accounts payable collections and on average collected $40,000.00 a month in claims from freight carriers.

Implemented and supervised all customer service and shipping aspects of a” Center of Excellence” logistics warehouse for DHL. Responsibilities included creating and maintaining the highest quality of customer relations, warehousing, inventory control and export services for Ericsson Hardware Services. This included logistics facility with complex, front-end, multi-faceted, “tailor-made”, order entry process, including all export and import documentation. Also requires hiring, initial training/on-going training and creating a warehouse environment within OSHA regulations with a “team work” attitude. Also manager responsible for passing the global audit for ISO 9001 Certification in October of 2003 for the DFW region.
