Upon my graduation from Miami University with a BS in Interior Design, I worked at an office furniture dealership in Dayton, OH for 11 years before becoming the founder of Elements IV Interiors. My 11 years at Ramsey Business Interiors included 7 years in Interior Design (including manager of design dept.) and 4 years in Sales & Account Management (focus on federal government and major accounts). Elements IV Interiors, founded in 1990, is the preferred Haworth and Office Furniture USA dealership in the Greater Dayton area offering products and services associated with the commercial furnishing industry including: furniture, raised flooring, movable walls, sound masking, interior design, project management, installation, move management and asset management services. In 2006, we purchased a mid-century building for our new corporate headquarters and renovated it under LEED guidelines; we received LEED-CI Silver certification for the project. My career focused on numerous aspects of the company over the years including: sales with an emphasis on large scale new construction projects (specializing on federal government contracts), assisting A&D firms on product specifications and project design. Management responsibilities throughout the past 22 years included financial, marketing, networking, personnel management, sales, strategic planning, bid strategies, event planning and client relations.After a well thought-out five year succession plan, I sold the business at the end of 2012 to my business partner, Mark Williams.
