I became a stay-at-home Mom in 2007 when my first daugther was born. We were then blessed with another daughter in 2009. While at home I had the pleasure of being actively involved in both their education and social activities. This sparked my interest in organizing which lead me to become a Certified Relocation and Transition Specialist. From there I started and operated Silver Valley Transitions Inc.

Silver Valley Transitions Inc. was a full-service Senior Move Management company. A SMM is someone who helps seniors to make the overwhelming process of downsizing and moving an easier and more manageable task. At Silver Valley Transitions, we offered emotional, organizational, and hands-on support to older adults and their families during the transition process. From personal experiences we understood the stressful experience of moving from a long-time residence and tried to make the move as stress-free as possible.Silver Valley Transitions Inc. came to be from the personal experience of having to move my grandparents out of their home after 50 years. The process was so overwhelming and difficult not only for my grandparents but for the whole family. After many conversations about how a senior focused moving service is desperately needed, I decided to start my own. I became a Certified Relocation and Transition Specialist, and began Silver Valley Transitions Inc.As Senior move management was a largely unknown industry I participated in Tradeshows, hosted seminars, and attended many networking events. I worked with Retirement residences, as well as realtors, financial advisors, home stagers, and many more. As a new business owner, I quickly learned as much as possible about creating marketing material and developed and maintained our company website.I am very proud of the team that I built and the many seniors we were able to organize and move. Allowing them to continue living their best life, without the worry of maintaining a large home.

I provided assistance to the Executive Director in the daily operations of the house. I scheduled family stays and welcomed them and provided house tours. I assisted with hiring, scheduling and training new volunteers, and helped organize and implement volunteer events. I contributed to all fundraising events with administrative support and onsite organization.

I built and maintained external (vendor) and internal relations; sourced and purchased specialty products (ensuring products meet customers' expectations); supervised specialty contract buyers; resolved conflicts and problem-solving regarding vendor shorts, incorrect product shipping, pricing errors and general customer dissatisfaction; processed credits requests; and ensured all parties were kept informed with the latest promotions and ongoing specials.
