Sr. Golf Course ManagerMetro Government Nashville, Two Rivers Golf Course Jan 1988 - Jan 2004As the Head Professional of an 18 hole municipal course hosting in excess of 50,000 rounds annually our goal was to provide the public with an affordable golf experience that was equal to the daily-fee operations in the area. I was directly responsible for the total operation including, golf shop, concessions and golf course maintenance. I directed a staff of up to20 people. Some of my accomplishments were:*Devised a tee-time reservation system and adopted a pace of play program that was implemented at all 5 of the Metro Golf Courses. As a result 5 hour rounds were turned into 4 hours. The Program is still in use today.*Created a tournament program/association for golfers from scratch that grew to over 250 members. The association directly contributed over $20,000 to golf shop sales annually.*Created a city wide Annual Junior Golf Program with over 100 youths in attendance. Country- Western stars were featured along with notable tour professionals.*Assisted in a golf course renovation project that included rebuilding greens, tees and bunkers.
