Assisting NCDHHS with 3 large initiatives:We have just completed an assessment project with UNC Health to provide guidance on the State's readiness to implement Epic in their 3 psychiatric hospitals. Currently establishing a program comprised of projects to 1) Procure an Epic Connect Partner and any necessary ancillary information systems, 2) Manage ancillary system vendors for contractual purposes and integration with Epic, 3) Implementation, 4) Assessment to roll out the Epic/Ancillary Vendor solutions in the State's remaining 9 healthcare facilities.Sr. Project Manager for the selection and implementation of a vendor solution for the State's 3 long term care skilled nursing facilities.Sr. Project Manager for a medical record scanning/digitization project for the 14 Department of State Operated Healthcare Facilities (DSOHF).

Managed team with a $2.5 million budget that supported 200+ information system solutions that crossed corporate and clinical verticals for 15 hospitals and 600 provider clinics Migration of all Cardiology images into a single CPACS imaging solution. $500,000 cost savings realized in first week as a result of streamlined workflows.Led data migration from retired EMR system for 2 hospitals. Negotiated maintenance contracts for a cost savings of $700,000 over 6 months.  Led team members through the implementation of a $2.4 million dollar corporate EEG solution to record brain activity. System complexity required extensive collaboration with the vendor and Novant IT executive leadership. Numerous architecture adjustments delivered Neurologists the speeds necessary for seamless reading of patient studies. This system was critical for Covid support efforts due to the influx of septic and cardiac arrest patients.  Implemented stroke carts in 17 Novant and non-Novant facilities to provide immediate neurological consultations for life-threatening emergencies.  Implemented virtual Behavioral Health/Tele-Psychiatry solutions to expedite critical care consults between providers and patients. Analyzed solutions for upgrades and new deployments to determine if cloud computing and SaaS providers offered modernized systems that met security, capacity, and scalability requirements that reduced costs but maintained business operations with the agility to transform as needed. Adopted a Capability Model framework to align products by service lines. Fostered communications with Leaders to understand problems and opportunities to develop and deliver the right digital solutions to support their strategic goals.  Support of budget forecasting and planning for capital projects and operational expenses. Developed team members through career planning and acted as a change agent by coaching team members through adoption of agile and hybrid principles.

Program Manager for Salem Health Solutions with the primary responsibility of leading multidisciplinary teams of internal and external constituents in the development, implementation, enhancement, and support of software solutions. Position required extensive use of previously developed project management skills plus the development of a new skill set including Agile project management methods and Use Case modeling to support iterative software development which focused on quickly turning around functionality prioritized by the end users as highly important to the program’s success.
