I'm a member of St. Vincent DePaul parish, and currently serve as a Eucharistic Minister. I'm a member of our local chapter of Semo MGMA (Medical Group Management Association) and currently serve on the Board of Directors. I'm chairperson of the Family Selection Committee for our Cape Area Habitat for Humanity, and currently serve on the Board of Directors. I've been a longtime booster for Southeast MO State Athletics, and currently serve on the Redhawk's Club Board of Directors. I'm treasurer for the non-profit group OPTE (Out of Poverty Thru Education) which built a school for orphans in Thomassique, Haiti. I've been fortunate enough to make 4 visits to see the children at the school, Hope Academy. Through an organization called Unbound (formerly Christian Foundation for Children and Aging) I sponsor a 9 yr old girl in the Dominican Republic and an 11 yr old boy in Guatemala. I've also been fortunate enough to make 5 visits to the DR and 1 to Guatemala to meet these sweet children and their families. My heart is in mission work, I love making a difference in people's lives, especially the poor.
