As a Sr. Data Scientist at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), I have over 24 years of experience in OMICs (transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics) data analysis/integration, statistics, data visualization, biological mass spectrometry data analysis, biological/chemical threat detection using ML/AL, Atmospheric Radiation Monitoring (ARM) Sensor Data Analysis and agricultural/crop/plant molecular biology analysis using AI/ML. With a PhD, I have contributed to multiple projects ranging from systems biology analysis of multiple plant systems (Arabidopsis, Sorghum, Setaria, Brachypodium, Poplar, Red Alder, and Soybean, to biotoxin characterization and ARM data analysis. I have served as a Program Manager Detailee for the Department of Energy's (DOE) Biological Systems Science Division, a principle investigator (PI) on multiple PNNL laboratory directed research and development grants, a member of NASA's GeneLab, and Associate Editor for the journal Frontier's in Analytical Science OMICs Section. My mission is to utilize my data science skillset and plant systems biology experience to advance the understanding of agricultural/plant/biofeedstock/crop systems and to support the DOE's and other Federal agency goals of enhancing energy security and environmental sustainability in the face of changing climate patterns. I value collaboration, diversity, and excellence, and I bring a unique perspective and expertise to collaborations within PNNL, federal sponsors or university/national laboratory partners.
