In 2007 identified a gap in the school uniform market and established Skortshop to create a practical sports uniforms garment for primary schools girls. Today Skortshop skorts are worn in schools across Australia. Proudly made here in Sydney from Australian milled fabrics, Skortshop skorts are superior quality, comfortable and super flattering garments for active girls. Founding co-partner of the business which grew significantly in revenue from a zero base and covering all aspects of the business lifecycle including strategy and business model, product development, pricing, sales, sourcing and supply chain, financial management and brand marketing.My role specifically included all aspects of startup set up:• Product prototype and supply chain – arranging prototypes and samples, sourcing manufacturer and other suppliers for labels/swing tags/general collateral.• Brand creation, launch, PR, Digital marketing• Devising sales strategy and sales management Working with a web designer to create both retail and wholesale websites with CMS• Building and managing client relationships with schools, sports teams, • Setting up all business operations - compliance, CRM, accounting software, UX
