I was born and raised in Pictou County, and graduated from University of Cape Breton with a Bachelor of Community Studies degree. I have been employed with Summer Street for 30 years as; support Instructor to adults with Intellectual disabilities, staff supervisor and over the last 13 years as Director of Human Resources, Facilities and Social Enterprises. Through my work at Summer Street I have received experience and training with HR Management, and exposure to working in both unionized and non unionized environments. I have also served as a committee member for the past 20 years coordinating our very successful Summer Street ScrambleMy husband and I we are the proud parents of two fabulous young adults. I enjoy camping, the ocean reading, music and the company of great friends.
