One of the first 20 engineers hired to work on the FlashRay (Mars) product. Technical lead for clustering and high availability (HA) features.♦ Release 1 - Developed architecture, designed, and implemented key building-block components, including: a distributed persistent key-value store called ClusterDB, a flexible startup/shutdown infrastructure, and a dynamic configuration component. This code is very stable and is used by all components in Mars.♦ Release 2 - Assumed the Agile Product Owner role for development and delivery of clustering and HA content, the main functionality in the release. Led the creation of the architecture for HA in Mars. Designed and implemented HA infrastructure features, and reviewed and approved all relevant code submissions. Designed and implemented cluster node add/remove, cluster repair state. Functionality was delivered ahead of schedule, and the release was declared ready for manufacturing in December 2015.

    Senior Software Engineer
    Netapp Feb 2007 - Jun 2011
    San Jose, California, Us
One of the first engineers to work on the new Scalable SAN product, which involved up-front architectural work in various areas. After this, specialized in the distributed SAN data path. ♦ Architected, designed and implemented the Blocks Inter-blade Interface (BII) component for the new Clustered SAN product. The BII component provides Scalable SAN’s interface with SpinNP FileOps, CSM, and, by extension, WAFL.♦Delivered a working prototype on time, with quality. Design and implementation of this component involved extensive communication and collaboration with teams inside and outside of SAN. This included collaboration with WAFL and SCON, and negotiating SpinNP changes for SAN. ♦ Developed expertise in SAN data path, buffer management, CSM and SpinNP, and became the go-to person in Scalable SAN for CSM, SpinNP and SpinHi. Also developed close working relationships with the WAFL protocols and CSM teams, which proved mutually beneficial in resolving issues and achieving faster turnaround times for SAN requests to these groups. ♦ Took initiative to assist the Kernel Cluster Services (KCS) team to resolve a backlog of issues, primarily related to the use of CSM. Rewrote the CTRAN CSM session management code to address multiple issues.
