eKuiLibriuM was a successful lifestyle management partnership, that I ran with my husband, Larry. It promoted the goals of improved wellbeing and a healthy lifestyle, through fitness, movement, and nutrition.I grew up as a carer to my late Mum and late brother; supporting both into my adulthood (both lived with Multiple Sclerosis and Mum had breast cancer) and understanding the need to maintain health and fitness inspired me to take this into our business.

My role was the recruitment, development and retention of volunteers involved in fundraising in the East of England (Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk).

During this short term contract I was responsible for introducing a new series of walks to the county town of Hertford in addition to managing the day to day scheme within the county. This involved managing g and supporting a team of approximately 300 volunteer Health Walk Leaders who were responsible for delivering the scheme into the community. As a health walk trainer I trained 30 new leaders to cover the new area and support the timetable of 55 walks throughout the county. This involved managing g and supporting a team of approximately 300 volunteer Health Walk Leaders who were responsible for delivering the scheme into the community. As a health walk trainer I trained 30 new leaders to cover the new area and support the timetable of 55 walks throughout the county. I worked in partnership with all the county District Councils representatives : the Clinical Commissioning Groups: County Councillors : the national Walking for Health consortium who ratified the volunteer training and allied organisations. My role included marketing, PR and social media strategies to ensure the reach of the scheme was accessible to all. The walks are graded on accessibility, difficulty and time. Equality and access for all was a priority with all schemes moving towards one walk per timetable as fully wheelchair friendly. Show less
