Responsible for geological operations of two Timor Sea JPDA wells.

Responsible for 12 man exploration team managing and evaluating 6 onshore blocks, totaling 21,000 km2, in the Sirte and Southern Ghadames basins. 7 exploration wells (2 gas and 1 oil discovery) and 3 appraisal wells drilled.

Responsible for the Asia Pacific New Venture team. Managed cross discipline Asia Pacific NV workshop and in-depth evaluations of the prospectivity of India, East Indonesia and Great South Basin, NZ. Projects conducted on budget and on time.

Senior exploration planning/portfolio management role for Asia Pacific region. Led major study of NW Borneo geology and part of team developing Sabah gas strategy. Identified/championed new business opportunities in Malaysia and South China Sea region. Played a key role in expanding Shell’s Australian gas position in 2004 helping develop growth strategy and clear basin entry recommendations.

Worked in Perth (1989-1994), Jakarta (1995-1996) and Houston (1996-2000) offices. Last role in Houston was a senior member of Marathon’s Deepwater Gulf of Mexico (GOM) exploration group. Lead role in the prospect generation and the technical appraisal on numerous Marathon operated blocks resulting in several deepwater discoveries. Responsible for supervising geological operations on Marathon operated GOM exploration.

Experience with one of Australia's most active operating companies. Extensive exploration, operations and well-site exposure as part of a small exploration team overseeing twenty-three producing oil and gas fields and involved in the drilling of more than 160 wells from 1985-1989 (Australia, Philippines and PNG).
