I have worked in the health care field for almost 30 years; from front office receptionist at a single provider office to Business/Billing Manager of a busy ambulatory surgery center. In that time I have excelled at reducing outstanding A/R in both insurance and patient claims; recovering over $250,000 in under 6 months and reducing outstanding A/R from 80% to under 20%. I implemented procedures to increase collection of patient responsibility. My knowledge of how insurance companies should pay and my belief that it's important to hold insurance companies accountable for proper and timely payments; makes denial recovery one of my strongest assets. Working with patients to help them understand their insurance coverage, their responsibility and then acting not only as a patient advocate but as a company advocate to ensure proper payment is what I strive to complete with every claim.
