Kindness, Determination, and Diversity, three words that alone are strong, but together they define a part of me. As a Youth Leader I value helping others become their best selves and demonstrate to them that they are not alone. I am helping make the world a better place by helping others be better versions of themselves for their own benefit.Being able to stay determined, push through circumstances and adapting to face the challengers of tomorrow is something that I excel at. Doubting I would be able to pay for college; I took the opportunity to take college classes as a senior to get ahead. Now I am a college student with extra college credit, and I can get a degree in Business one year earlier than my graduating class. The best way to explain how diversity is of value to me is my background; being Mexican American taught me that I have the privilege of learning from two cultural point of views, values, beliefs, lifestyles, languages and much more! Being Mexican has also allowed me to connect with many people from all over the world because I can relate to their culture or background.
