Kim began her career with Georgia Power Company in March 2000 and has held a variety of roles as an individual contributor and also a servant leader. Some of those titles include: Safety and Health Advisor, Compliance Comptroller, Customer Service Supervisor, and currently Material Distribution Center Team Leader.Kim has served in her current role since March 2015 and her responsibilities include developing, training, and mentoring a group of 23 contract, exempt, and non-exempt employees. Additionally she is responsible for more than $63 million in inventory and the day to day operations of ensuring all areas throughout the state have Transmission and Distribution material to run necessary maintenance and respond quickly when outages occur. In addition to her daily responsibilities she serves as a Supervising sponsor for the SCM Safety Committee, 1st VP of the Citizens of GA Power-Forest Park Chapter and mentors a small business through the Georgia Mentor/Protégé Connection. She is a graduate of Leadership Fayette County and also many company sponsored programs including: Emerging Leaders, Front Line Supervisor’s and the Professional Mentoring Program. She is Co-Founder of the Georgia Power Team for Aids Walk Atlanta. Kim is an active participant in Junior Achievement, Relay for Life, and the Empty Stocking Fund.Kim earned her Bachelor’s degree with a double major in Business and Psychology from Clayton State University.She lives in Peachtree City with her two dogs and cats. Her daughter Ariel is a recent graduate of Georgia College and State University and lives in the Atlanta area.
