Associate Executive Vice President - Southwest
American Heart Association Aug 2013 - Oct 2019
    Dallas/Fort Worth Area
After an organization-wide realignment of field operations, I was elevated to serve as one of five newly appointed region Associate EVPs. In this role, I was responsible for delivering more than $60 million in annual revenue from the six-state region comprised of Arkansas, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming while having direct oversite over North Texas, Greater Houston and Colorado where I drove revenue increases by an average of 60 percent for my specific territories. I advanced through leadership roles with increasing responsibility over development, consulting, corporate relations and workplace giving. My consistent fundraising growth received national AHA recognition for three consecutive years (2013-15) and my efforts to form the North Texas Health Alliance in 2015 were honored with AHA’s Excellence in Innovation. In 2017, I received the Earl B. Beagle Award for Staff Excellence, the AHA’s highest staff honor. During my final fiscal year with the region, SouthWest was the AHA’s top region in overall field revenue with $63 million, with my specific territories accounting for 79% of new dollars raised. SouthWest also hosted the highest revenue producing campaigns for all five core events within the organization’s fundraising campaign portfolio: Heart Walk (Dallas – $5.8 million), Heart Ball (Dallas Côtes du Coeur – $4.2 million), Go Red for Women Luncheon (Houston – $2.8 million), CycleNation (Denver – $807,000) and Kids Heart Challenge (Brentfield Elementary, Dallas – $92,000). Additionally, my cultivation and stewardship of volunteer leaders and staff had a direct impact on the achievement of these results within the region. I directly recruited and cultivated top C-suite executives to serve on our local, regional and national volunteer boards to advance and champion our mission impact. My ability to identify high-performing staff talent, provide professional development and mindful recognition led to notable growth and success.
