As a marketing consultant at the BMW Training Centre, I am responsible for developing and implementing the strategic marketing and communication plan for all Retail HR activities in Belux.I translate the business objectives into concrete HR marketing objectives, relying on stakeholder input, market research and learnings from previous campaigns. Based on these objectives, I develop various HR marketing campaigns and projects, both at national and local level, with the aim of attracting candidates and strengthening the (local) employer brand of BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad. I take the lead in setting up and managing these initiatives with a 360-degree approach, using social media, e-mail marketing, event marketing, PR, offline marketing and partnerships to achieve our goals.I do all this in close cooperation with my colleagues within the marketing team. I am also responsible for budget management and carefully monitoring the ROI of our campaigns.In addition to these core tasks, I also handle the onboarding of new marketing coordinators within our distribution network and provide LinkedIn training for internal employees. As part of my role, I also support extensive transition training such as the xEV training initiative. Moreover, I am involved in developing e-learning modules and creating and coordinating video content.

I was ready to take a next step in my career by exploring different marketing domains.Within a totally new sector to me - Information Technology - I approached my new opportunity with enthusiasm. I learned how to set up marketing plans, how to manage different marketing vendor budgets and how to roll out the marketing plans; from awareness campaigns, event marketing, lead gen campaigns, social media and other ways of communication.

During my thesis, I discovered a passion for Marketing, Analytics and FMGC. This interest led me to my new role as a Market Analyst at GfK, one of the largest Market Research companies within the FMCG sector. My biggest goal was to understand why FMCG companies make different choices and to support them in making crucial market decisions based on relevant data. Within these 2 years I learned the added value of market research and how data can support business and marketing decisions.

After graduation, I was wondering, just as any other student, what to do with a Master Degree in Marketing. I decided I wanted to orientate myself further and I got the chance to discover different projects on the payroll of Secretary Plus. Thanks to these short term projects within Facility and Sales, I was able to determine what type of industry, management structure & company culture suited me best. I took my first steps in a business environment and learned how to work in a team and how to handle more realistic professional challenges.

We all know that practical experience is the best and internships give students that hands-on experience they need. I was fortunate to do my internship at MINI Belux, which was easily one of the most valuable experiences in my college career. I learned multitasking, communicating in a professional way and dealing with deadlines.
