Support field operations by continually verifying and validating established safety systems and competencies. Responsibilities include engaging with the workforce, coaching on Managing Safe Work Standards, Project HES support and input, as well as and Contractor HES Management (CHESM) on site oversight. Developing project safety plans (JSSP), HES related training development and implementation, ensuring Managing Safe Work procedures and OE Processes are followed, ensuring facilities Industrial Hygiene and Medical Surveillance meets Chevron standards. This position was temporary while transitioning from an expatriate position.

OE Management System Implementation. OEMS is a systematic managment of process safety, personal safety & heath, the environment, reliability and efficiency to achieve world class performance. Through disciplined application of the OEMS, OE processes, standards, procedures and behaviors are integrated into daily operations. My position stewards this process implementation for Six critical elements of Operational Excellence (OE). Creating OE Process 5 Component Models to support each critical element, conduct gap analysis on existing HES Safety Managemet documents, ensuring each meets the OE Expectations. Develop action plans to close/mitigate gaps. Create a roadmap for each element, to ensure appropriate communciations and timelines are met. Interface wth Process Advisors at Chevron to leverage existing processes against new/updated WAPCo processes to continue a consistent and standardized approach to OE. Create training plans and materials with updates and OEMS fluency. Present training to affected employees. Conduct field verifications to ensure training and implementation competency. Review progress of OE Management System (OEMS) to identify Focus Areas.

As Safety Specialist for the CPL Midcon Northwest region, responsible for safety activities for approximately 440 miles of pipeline, 2 product terminals, as well as the LPG Ferndale storage facility. Responsibilities include developing project safety plans (JSSP), safety training of staff, ensuring Safe Work Practice procedures are followed, ensuring facilities Industrial Hygiene and Medical Surveillance meets Chevron standards, coaching on Managing Safe Work Standards, project and CHESM oversight, HES trending/metrics and mentoring CA Asset Horizons employee.
