I lead and manage a payroll team of 26 employees to administer end to end payroll for Australia Post Group (APG). This is a large and complex payroll platform for approximately 35,000 employees that takes into account five enterprise agreements, local level agreements, various employment contracts, multiple superannuation schemes and commonwealth and state based legislative standards.I work with my team to maintain currency in the data integrity of recording of pay and leave and to meet governance and compliance with relevant legislation and employment conditions. I work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure our team continues to maintain a high level payroll service for our employees and the organisation.I manage my team to process to payroll timely and accurately through SAP Payroll and Time and Attendance systems KRONOS and WorkBrain through weekly and fortnightly pay cycles.

Manage and lead the administration of complex payroll across multiple EBAs for a national workforce of 4,000+ using Chris21 pay system and Kronos time and attendance system. Ensure the payroll team provide accurate and timely payroll for weekly and monthly pay intervals. Manage governance and compliance across service level agreements, analysis of exception reporting and employment conditions and legislation. Foster and encourage a team that focuses on simplification and innovation to identify and lead process improvements and maintain quality assurance measures. Lead a team that continuously strives for improvement in providing a service delivery of excellence in employee experience.

Over this period I have managed payroll for up to 22,000 APS employees located domestically and internationally. Lead and manage up to 110 staff at varying times processing payroll, leave and complex allowances. Management of staff on long term absences, under rehabilitation case management, and through performance management. Management of FTE, budgets and WHS for the business unit. Governance across business continuity plans, standard operating procedures, checklists, and auditing processes. Participated in the management of a payroll system upgrade responsible for fortnightly payments to approx 22,000 employees. Managed a team of 110 staff through training and user acceptance testing and implementation to go live.Management of learning and development for approx 230 team members in payroll and leadership skills. Leading reform and changes through red tape reduction reviews for the business unit in line with the organisational strategic direction. Performed a fundamental role in improving the workplace culture to obtain a place of professionalism, harmony and respect.
