To manage complex contracts, such as construction and engineering, IT, outsourcing services etc. and draft and amend the same, liaising with client departments as required. To advise on the use of externally procured framework contracts and all aspects of due diligence, taking responsibility for City Procurement category boards as required. To attend meetings including internal and external client case conferences, committee meetings and advise accordingly, undertake research and provide legal advice and briefings as required across a range of legal matters, assist in resolving contract disputes, maintain high standards of client care by developing and maintaining effective relationships with clients, provide complex legal and technical support to other fee earners including working as part of a team on special projects, and otherwise fulfilling the role of Chief Lawyer.
