• LIS Responsibilities included troubleshooting foreign system interfaces via inbound and outbound HL7 messages. Developed testing plans and timelines for EHR/EMR and foreign system interface implementations as well as performed the testing. EHR/EMR vendors include Clinician, NextGen, Allscripts, eClinicalWorks, GE Centricity and Office Ally. • Overall system support which included answering questions and resolving issues encompassing entire Cerner system (FSI, MDI, charting, billing, Gen Lab, BB, etc.). • Reviewed system changes to add, modify and delete functionality when needed. • Assisted with implementation of EPIC and 7 newly acquired hospitals.• Provided professional advice, troubleshooting, problem recognition, research, isolation and follow-up in solving high-level data processing problems. • Organized, prepared and conducted training and educational programs for associates.• Built new instrument interfaces between instrument vendor and the LIS, and tested all aspects of implementation.• Prepared and maintained existing application and system specific instructions.
