• Organize, maintain, and update information in MESDA’s research assets, especially the Object, Craftsman, and Subject databases• Identify and review primary documents on microforms, online, or in print with accuracy and comprehension in order to add new information to the museum’s research databases• Accompany Director of MESDA Research on week-long field research visits to private collections in states throughout MESDA’s South to record new objects for the Object Database• Create new object records for the Object Database, entering data accurately and uploading images • Investigate and answer research requests or assigns personnel to answer requests• Promote the MESDA Research Center whenever possible to build on its international reputation as the preeminent source of information about the material culture of the early American South• Develop educational opportunities for specific visitor groups to the museum• Train and supervise MESDA Research Associates• Greet, register and assist visitors to the MESDA Research Center• Research and create content for social media platforms through Artisans of the South Posts• Keep abreast of and implements new technologies that will make the MESDA Research Center more efficient, including Proficio updates• Oversee technology, microform holdings, and all other office equipment• Select and order new resources, technology, and supplies • Prepare monthly reports

• Assist the Director of MESDA Research in preparing articles for publication in the MESDA Journal• Proofread manuscripts and other forms of copy for general grammatical correctness• Determine readiness of written pieces and make changes for publication• Check reference sources to verify dates, facts, and statistics

• Complete client transactions in PC Teller accurately and efficiently • Interact with and assist clients by determining their banking needs and providing them with stellar customer service • Manage, organize, and file ATM transactions • Maintain strict confidentiality of all banking and private information as per bank standards, through thorough knowledge of banking laws and regulations and physically keeping confidential material locked and secured in proper places • Reconcile cash drawer and resolve discrepancies• Complete highly accurate, high-volume money counts via both manual and machine-driven approaches• Recognize potential sales opportunities to cross-sell appropriate products and services to clients and make qualified referrals• Access computerized financial information to answer questions related to specific accounts

Main responsibilities include meticulous researching, analyzing, and recording historical documents, such as newspapers, court records, wills, etc., for content pertaining to Southern craftsmen and other topical subjects of interest; maintaining, updating, and organizing the records of the photographic files and database of Southern crafts; and assisting research requests from various scholars and the public, gleaning and obtaining important information for their various scholarly endeavors.

Main Responsibilities included attending assigned undergraduate history class; taking notes; assisting the professor with content; promoting discussion among the students both inside and outside of class in regularly held office hours; at times teaching and presenting the material for the day; meeting one-on-one (or in groups) with students outside of class for tutoring and assisting in refining their writing abilities.
