Below was the bio written for my role at HopeForDocs, a non profit established to help professionals find safe support during moments of mental health fatigue and crisis. This is not the full scope of my professional experiences but merely a snap shot. Kim Wilton, COO of HopeForDocs 401c3, is a visionary. She is a woman of rich experiences that have made her specifically qualified to perform in this role. She is a mother, advocate, friend, and collaborator. Her natural ability to connect to others will be the first thing you notice about her.Her mission describes a place where breaking the walls of silence is the direct path to healing and hope. She believes that a world where it is safe to be authentic can and should exist. She believes that everyone has the right to be heard and to be valued.Kim served as a CASA GAL (Guardian Ad Litem) for the Summit County Juvenile Court in Akron Ohio from 2009 until 2014 where she was able to give a child a voice to speak their truth in court while they were in Foster Care. She received a nomination for “CASA Rookie of the year” her first year for her dedication and achievements. She shined in the court room due to her excellent written court reports and ability to speak with confidence and clarity. Her love for helping the less fortunate lead her and her husband to have had fostered youth for The Village Network; a Therapeutic private Foster Care agency where homes were provided for emotionally abused and behaviorally challenged teens. She was able to provide lifelong stability to a number of teenagers who have since become positive adults.Kim began her hospital career as a professional parent mentor, lending her life experience to help parents who were parenting children experiencing a mental health crisis. For the past four years, she was employed at Akron Children’s Hospital Intensive Services Program where she used her ability to connect with children of all ages. Her easy going way and warm empathy skills made her stand apart when working with acutely suicidal teens, offering support, compassion, and understanding.A perfect day for her would include family, friends, close to any body of water, with a roaring campfire, s’mores and a guitar.

Mental Health TechnicianAkron Children'S Hospital Oct 2013 - Mar 2019Akron, Ohio, United StatesWorking at Akron Children's Hospital's Partial Hospitalization Program was truly one of my most fulfilling experiences to date. I was able to partner with and assist the most amazing therapists, psychiatrists and other supporting staff to make a difference in the life of acutely suicidal and troubled teens. I assisted in facilitating groups where DBT skills were taught, monitored the patients during both structured and unstructured times and provided input to the multi-disciplinary treatment team on a daily basis. I documented notes on each patient in our EMS, Epic 2015. My employment at Akron Children's Hospital was a very rich and fulfilling experience. -
Therapeutic Foster ParentThe Village Network 2010 - 2014My husband and I provided a therapeutically safe and loving home for troubled youth transitioning from Residential and Detention facilities helping them integrate smoothly back into society. We have remained in contact with a number of the children, now adults, that we had the privilege of having in our home. -
