Mr. Kimathi specializes in monitoring, evaluation, and learning functions for projects and programs. He directly supports the development and maintenance of robust monitoring and evaluation systems and practices. He is experienced in the management of M&E for USAID-funded projects and programs and negotiates with senior and middle-level partners and collaborators within government. He collaborates with the M&E team members and the senior management team to collate and review data for the project's key performance indicators (KPIs), targets, and accomplishments, as well as develop and revise the project's MEL plans and M&E manuals. He also manages routine and research data collection, assists with analysis, and authors technical and research study reports. He also collaborates with colleagues to write project-wide progress reports on a quarterly and annual basis and take part in their iterative review and revisions. Mr. Kimathi has managed MEL systems for national-level, regional, rural, and urban-based projects across Kenya.
