As a Microsoft Fellow and Master Trainer, I traveled the country meeting with teachers, district leaders, departments of education and even legislators discussing the importance of technology in education, and the role it should play in ensuring our students are college and career ready. In addition to participating in round table discussions and formal presentations, I trained educators on using Microsoft technologies with students. I also worked with districts interested in implementing one-to-one computer programs through a training called "21 Steps to 1:1" created by the Anytime Anywhere Learning Foundation.

I worked at the new STEM High School in LWSD as a social studies teacher. I was also responsible for developing and implementing their 3 year technology integration plan.

I spent four years as an Instructional Technology Specialist. I worked with a team of teachers and administrators to carry out the instructional technology goals of the district. This included creating curriculum for staff development classes, providing instruction and coaching to teachers, testing out software and hardware for classroom use, and working with my team to plan the direction of the district for the upcoming school year in regards to the integration of the State Technology Standards.I have been an adjunct professor for Seattle University and Seattle Pacific University since 2004

In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I was an Instructional Technology Specialist for 3 years. As the ITS, I was directly involved in creating our school’s Technology Plan. I worked with teachers to develop technology enriched curriculum, and helped teachers trouble-shoot technology problems. I also maintained the school website.
