Senior Software Engineer
Most recently I built 2 engineering teams from scratch - the first focused on accessibility of our internal technology and the other, a horizontal team across all of Google, focused on web accessibility developer infrastructure. As a result, I've worn many hats beyond software engineer including team lead, technical lead, product management, and project management. My work over the past 7+ years included building those teams, developing short- and long-term strategies and roadmaps, planning and prioritizing projects, allocating resources and supporting web accessibility efforts across the company.I've worked in several different organizations at Google including Ads, Corporate Engineering, Research, and Core on front-ends, backends, data migrations and application rewrites on dozens of projects. I've always preferred projects where I could collaborate with cross-functional partners and team members.In addition to my core work, I loved mentoring, coaching, giving tech talks, and volunteering at various conferences and events including WiSci Girls' STEAM Camp, Google I/O and CSUN Assistive Technology Conference.Over the years I've been awarded 18 spot bonuses from managers and executives, 33 peer bonuses and 21 peer thanks.
