As the teacher of Faith Formation and American history I wrote, curated, and implemented curricula for 3K through 8th grade and 11th grade. I was the de facto Deacon for the school and led lower and middle school chapel when called upon to do so. As a member of the student wellness committee I informally counseled with parents and students when requested. Teaching required patience, mediation and problem solving and being extremely organized.

I was under contract with Child Protective Services to conduct home visits for the purpose of assessing potential foster and adoptive parents. Detailed reports making recommendations to the Court were generated. I also worked with the private bar in the same capacity; studying step-parents interested in adopting step-children and singles and couples hoping to adopt. This required extreme confidentiality, sensitivity and excellent communication and writing skills.
