I have served as a volunteer firefighter with the White River Fire Department, and I am a former Law Enforcement Officer with the Marion County Sheriff's Department, and the Homecroft PoliceDepartment. I had to step away from all of that when I found out that I had breast cancer in September of 2008. I am now in remission and have been for the past 12 years after a double mastectomy in April 2009. I am now a 3 time cancer survivor and I became an EMT in 2011. I then continued my education and became a nurse. Ever since then I have been a humanitarian nurse with the American Red Cross traveling our great Country to help others who have been affected by a natural disaster. And now, I have decided to become a Real Estate Broker to stay closer to home. I have had a very full life for someone my age and I am nowhere near ready to stop.

I get the right type of counseling that the victims need to their specific need. I did a great deal of filing paper work so that crimes could be investigated properly. I did a lot of heavy computer work, and phone support. Talking to the victims to check up on them and make sure they were okay, and to see if there was anything else we could do for them. The title says it all. I assist victims. -

I ran radar along main streets, and helped out with community events. There was a lot of customer service involved as I interacted with the citizens of Homecroft, and I filed daily reports at the end of each shift. The only reason I left there was because in September I found out that I had breast cancer, but I stayed until November when it was obvious that I had to take a leave.

I called court to session, I called court to recess, I called cases up for the judge to hear. While I was in the courtroom, I was the Judge's right hand person. Anything he or she needed, is what I did. The only reason I left that job was because in September I became ill with breast cancer.
