Kimberlee Evans, BAFA, CCHWKimberlee Evans is currently the Case Management Supervisor for Alaskan AIDS Assistance Association (Four A's), in Anchorage, AK. She was the Data/Linkage to Care Coordinator for the New Mexico Department of Health that provided information to new and returning clients. (e.i, medical providers, HIV services and community resources) She was the Diabetes Coordinator at the Canoncito Band of Navajos Health Clinic that provided diabetes education and promoted healthy lifestyles. She was a HSP Case Manager under the HIV Service Provider Program at First Nations Community Healthsource that provided personalized case management to those living with HIV/AIDS. She was a Domestic Violence Advocate under the Families Are Scared DV/SA Prevention Project that provided critical Domestic Violence Training, education, support, community resources and counseling to clients and community organizations. Ms. Evans earned a double Associates of Fine Arts from the Institute of American Indian Arts in 1995 and a Bachelor’s of Art in Fine Arts in 2000 from the University of New Mexico. She also earned a Certified Community Health Worker certificate in 2018 from the Santa Fe Community College. As a member of the Navajo Nation, Ms. Evans is bilingual in Navajo and English. Ms. Evans has been active in community service pursuits and attends local community boards dedicated to education and service to the Native American population and underserved communities in New Mexico. Ms. Evans has attended trainings on ARTAS Linkage Case Management provided by the CDC, Domestic Violence provided by the Coalition to Stop Violence against Native Women, as well as Our Children Our Responsibility Mandate Reporting, Seeking Safety, The Good Road to Life, Shelter from the Storm DV training, Safe Home Safe Families CYFD DV training, and Indian Health Service Sexual Assault Response Team Training. As a survivor of domestic violence, Ms. Evans is passionate about the Families Are Sacred Project and dedicates her time to preventing fear, loneliness, and helplessness that result from experiencing domestic violence.
