Making maintenance calls for any repairs needed as well as ordering stationary and office supplies. I was also a cover receptionist, the skills in this role were clear communication and with all current and prospective clients. I have learned how to extract relevant details and information from them. My responsibilities consisted of selling branded and own branded products, promoting good customer service as well as organizing the stock replenishment. I was trusted to train new staff members on KPI targets as well as supporting them through their first encounters with customer service. Furthermore, having merchandising responsibilities to improve brand incentives given by head office.

The position I initially held in the Students Union was a kitchen staff member in ‘The Kitchen’ restaurant; previous culinary skills came in very useful and I became an experienced member within the catering outlet. In third year of university I then became a venues assistant, my duties consisted of; working the bars and restaurants, and also working during functions and events. This was a highly pressured environment which developed professionalism and service skills.

My duties consisted of food preparation, ensuring excellent customer service as well as making informed recommendations to all customers which would aid in driving up sales. As well as ensuring cleanliness throughout the premises and cashing the takings at the end of the day.
