I’ve traveled a focussed and purposeful path from process engineer to nonprofit executive. I began my career as a chemical engineer at Intel Corporation before leaving to become a director at a dot-com start-up. There I received a crash course in business development, brand management, and channel-partner strategy. I parlayed this learning into a successful small business start-up developing a skill set complementing nonprofit executive leadership and organizational stewardship. During my tenure at the Bellingham Public Schools Foundation, I grew charitable contributions by 10x and established a permanent endowment. These funds create opportunities otherwise impossible for Bellingham's children and help to fully fund the true cost of an equitable and excellent education. My time these days is currently divided between work, board service, and recreating in the PNW with my family, friends & beloved dog Blakely. You can catch me at an occasional yoga class in between.
