Kimberley submitted an application for Wild for Life to participate in the Japan Virtual Retail Showcase held in Japan in 2017 with boutique and large buyers. Our products were selected to be part of the show and buyers got to taste our products and provide feedback on packaging and taste. Kimberley responded to buyer enquiries regarding pricing, freight costs and changes to packaging.Kimberley also identified an opportunity to apply for Grow Coastal, an initiative by the Innovation Centre, to help local businesses grow their business. Kimberley found a local grower for a potential new product to be manufactured on the Sunshine Coast. We were one of the top 20 companies that were shortlisted for this program.

Workplace Central provides workplace solutions for businesses across Australia. We help free up time for business owners to focus on their business and areas of strength and can handle all labour hire for the business- including recruitment, Workplace Health and Safety compliance, payroll, Workcover and Worker's compensation and reporting. WPC provides services such as labour hire, outsourced payroll, online training videos and consultancy services.Kimberley spoke to business owners about outsourced labour under the modern award platform. With the changes coming to payroll for companies with 20 or more employees and the requirement for Single Touch Payroll as of the 1st of July 2018, Kimberley spoke to companies about reducing their risk and the benefits of outsourcing their payroll to WPC. Kimberley developed marketing campaigns and strategies that aligned with legislation changes or other important information relevant to HR managers (stress leave, hiring juniors, WH&S changes).Kimberley attended local chamber events and other networking opportunities to identify potential new business leads.

Bassett Barks Pty Ltd is an accredited growing media supplier under NIASA (Nursery Industry Accreditation Scheme of Australia). Bassett Barks is one of Queensland's largest landscaping and potting media supply companies. Kimberley researched and identified new markets for our products in Japan and Singapore. Kimberley attended the TSBE trade delegration from Wellcamp airport to Shanghai, China in October 2017 to meet with Chinese companies and government organisations to determine a potential path for our potting media into China. Kimberley was a member of ACBC (Australia China Business Council) and regularly attended their events to learn more about e-commerce and doing business in China. Kimberley was also a member of QJCCI (Queensland Japan Chamber of Commerce & Industry) and networked with Japanese business owners and representatives from Japan to develop relationships and determine opportunities for our products in Japan.Kimberley was also a member of AMA (Australian Macadamia Association) and regularly attended events. Our potting media is used by some of the top macadamia growers in Queensland.Kimberley also regularly attended meetings and events with FAN (Food and Agribusiness network) to collaborate with our businesses in the food and agribusiness sector and to share knowledge, contacts and learn from each other. Kimberley was actively involved in Export networking functions and workshops with TIQ (Trade Investment Queensland), EFIC, Austrade and events put on by Sunshine Coast Regional Council for companies that were exporting to learn about FTAs (Free Trade Agreements)Kimberley was working with CCIC (China's Certification and Inspection company) to identify path for our potting media into China.

Our advocacy team works with our members and corporate partners to create campaigns, submissions and policies that lead to positive change on the big issues. CCIQ is the peak body for businesses in QLD and the state chamber of commerce.As Regional Manager for CCIQ (Sunshine Coast, Wide Bay and CQ), Kimberley worked autonomously to manage members and corporate partnerships in her region. Kimberley nearly doubled her membership base in two years and secured corporate partnerships worth over $300k. She developed long lasting relationships with local chambers of commerce in her region (SC & WBB). Kimberley planned and managed over 30 leadership events in her region and also planned and MC'd over 20 events and workshops in her region.Kimberley was a guest speaker at over 30 events in her region.Kimberley developed relationships with key stakeholder groups, such as RDA SC and RDA WB, SCRC, and other industry groups.Kimberley supported businesses in her region by connected them to other businesses and other resources, such as government grants and funding, workshops and events.

Kimberley helped people clarify their purpose and identify what they wanted to do in retirement. Kimberley focused primarily on Women in Transition who had recently been divorced, widowed or experienced a change in career. Kimberley helped launch a unique program for women called Savvy Women Invest on Purpose to educate and empower women. Kimberley marketed this program to multiple networking groups and successfully filled seminars up to 30 days in advance.

Kimberley advised clients on retirement options and set up retirement plans. She also sold life insurance and long term care insurance, as well as other insurance products to help families and small business owners protect their families. She was licensed for health insurance, life insurance and held the following securities licenses (Series 6 & 63).

Kimberley prospected telecom providers in Australia and New Zealand and expanded the customer base. Kimberley negotiated contracts with telecom providers and ISPs in Australia and New Zealand. She also attended industry trade shows and conferences and successfully converted leads into business.

Kimberley grew the territory in the Western US for start-up company Global Crossing from zero dollars to over $600 million. She negotiated multi-million dollar undersea cable contracts with senior management, including CEO's. She represented Global Crossing at industry trade shows and conferences and successfully converted leads into business. Kimberley helped telecom companies and data providers develop short-term and long-term capacity planning solutions. She managed relationships with many different companies at many levels- i.e. CEO's, VPs of Engineering, and planning staff. Kimberley worked autonomously.

Kimberley bought and sold undersea cable capacity for business use and for trade with other telecom companies.Kimberley represented PGE at undersea cable meetings worldwide. She develooped and maintained relationships with other carriers and cable providers.

Kimberley was the lead project manager of the $214 million Pan American Cable System network connecting Latin and South American countries. Kimberley managed all changes to the original contract and negotiated any contract variations with the 12 foreign owners in 8 landing countries.Kimberley managed all internal meetings with team members and presented updates and changes to senior management internally. Kimberley reported and presented to the cable owners on a quarterly basis.

Morristown, New Jersey

Kimberley negotiated the commercial terms and conditions of contracts with foreign telecommunications companies in the purchase of complex undersea cable systems to provide end users with connectivity, voice and data solutions. Contract values ranged from $140 million to $1.4 billion. Kimberley managed a team of four other contract managers.Kimberley traveled extensively overseas- Asia Pacific region, Latin/South America region, as well as to Europe. She planned contract signing ceremonies and celebrations for high level executives who were purchasers of the cable systems. Kimberley represented AT&T at project status meetings with foreign carriers/purchasers and provided commercial solutions for any changes required to the contract. She also attended industry conferences, such as Pacific Telecommunications Conference (PTC).Kimberley responded to over 30 RFQs and RFPs and provided the entire commercial response.Kimberley was the lead commercial negotiator of the FLAG (Fibre Optic Link Around the Globe) cable system valued at $1.4B. Kimberley also managed the relationship with consortium partner, KDD SCS (Japanese supplier). This was the first ever privately owned cable system brought to market.
